Sunrise

Our family has a yearly tradition of going on summer outing.  This year, unlike the previous years where we would usually spend it in Los Banos private pools, we decided to spend it in a beach  this time instead.  We chose the San Fabian Beach, Pangasinan for its powdery  sand though it's obviously not as white as the one in Boracay.

We stayed at Sunrise Resort, a simple resort along  the long stretch of San Fabian Beach, facing the Lingayen Gulf.

Sunrise has several facilities like 5 non-air-conditioned nipa huts, 6 air-conditioned rooms,  a swimming pool, and a multi-purpose pavilion.

The nipa huts have amenities that include an electric fan and several common shower rooms and toilets nearby.  The air-conditioned rooms have individual hot and cold showers.  3 of the 6 rooms have kitchenettes (P3K good for 6-8 pax).

The multi-purpose pavilion has videoke, several monoblock tables and chairs,  a kitchen and an outdoor barbecue grill.

Next, the swimming pool is surrounded with concrete tables and chairs in a well kept landscaped garden.

All the rooms have clean and fresh smelling mattresses, bed sheets and pillows.  The toilet and bath were all well kept and clean.  The surroundings were well maintained except for some areas that need improvement.

Over-all rating is 80% thumbs-up and 20% thumbs-down.  The 20% goes to the messy garbage area  and the black stained floor tiles in the kitchen area of the pavilion...hehehe.

As summer comes to a close, indeed, spending it with the whole family is really the best way of cupping one of the most awaited seasons of the year.
